In this episode, we talk to Ewan Nicolson about how Skyscanner is helping people get where they need to go, with an array of data and data science technology.
Ewan, the Principal Data Scientist at Skyscanner, gives us a glimpse of a data science operation at scale, the kinds of business strategies it supports, and the modus operandi within the team, and collaboration across the business. We discuss where personalisation is deployed, and the methods used to tailor the customer experience, including behavioral and contextual analysis (as opposed to analysis based on personally identifiable information).
