James is best known for his ability to translate complex technical concepts into something easily digestible by all audiences. He is also passionate about data and technology’s transformative role in driving business change. James has developed award-winning AI solutions and has a broad range of experience across organisations such as Knight Frank, Coca-Cola, HSBC, Penguin Random House, BMG, Ofcom, and M&S. On the rare occasion that a space appears in his calendar, he can be found discussing the latest movie or game in his collection, or preoccupied tending to his garden at home.

James graduated from Leeds University. He is a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology in the U.K., and a frequent author and speaker. In 2024, James was recognised as a finalist for the ‘Data Champion’ award in the Data IQ Awards, highlighting his leadership and contributions to the data industry in the areas of data strategy, technology delivery, and AI innovation
