David Germain joins Cynozure’s Advisory Board
LONDON – 20 January 2026 – Cynozure, a leading data, analytics and AI company, today announced the appointment of David Germain to its Advisory Board. David is a highly decorated CIO, CTO and COO with more than 30 years’ experience leading large-scale technology, data and operational transformation across insurance and financial services.
David has held senior leadership roles at organisations including QBE, RSA, RBS, Deutsche Bank, Close Brothers and GE Capital. He is widely recognised for building high-performing, inclusive teams and for driving sustainable business outcomes through technology, data and modern operating models.
David transitioned to a portfolio career in January 2025. He is a Non-Executive Director at Investec plc and Arkle Finance (a subsidiary of Weatherbys Bank), an external member of the University of Cambridge Audit Committee, and a Trustee of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. He is also a Patron for the Sickle Cell Society and an active advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion within the technology and financial services sectors.
David’s leadership and impact have been recognised across financial services. Amongst his many accolades, he was ranked ninth in the Financial Times Top 100 Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) Technology Leaders, inducted into the CIO Computing Magazine Hall of Fame, named Inspirational Technology Leader by the British Computer Society and named Insurance CIO of the Year in the UK. He serves as a judge for leading industry awards in technology and transformation.
