Turning data transformation into £15m of return
Driving impact with data requires more than technology, it demands clarity, alignment and cultural change.
In this video, Lou Hutchins, Director of Data Culture and Literacy at Cynozure, shares how we partnered with an international humanitarian charity over four years to unlock the full value of its data.
Like many large charities, data ownership was siloed, limiting enterprise-wide visibility and making it harder to take coordinated, high-value decisions, especially when responding to global crises at pace.
Our work focused on:
- Creating a clearer enterprise view of data through a single source of truth
- Strengthening supporter engagement and retention using the right data insights
- Resetting KPIs and success measures to focus on real impact
- Simplifying the technology landscape to reduce cost and complexity
The results were significant:
- £15 million investment back into the organisation to support the NHS during crisis
- Over £200K saved by rationalising the technology stack
- Stronger strategic decision-making across the organisation
This is what happens when data is anchored to mission, strategy and measurable outcomes, not just infrastructure.
