It’s no great secret that organisations are looking to get more value from their data; but the cost of hiring a full-time CDO can simply be too expensive. The CDO Hub is a way to get around that, and means that companies of all sizes are able to hire a top notch data leader – either part time, or on a project basis.
The CDO Hub isn’t just an innovative and ground-breaking service, providing on-demand data leadership for SMEs. It also acts a platform for members to benefit from peer-to-peer learning, mentoring and buddying.
We have members of The CDO Hub from a variety of backgrounds including public sector, retail, publishing and financial services and this is constantly expanding. What all our members have in common is the desire for knowledge, collaboration and an experienced ear in a secure environment where ideas can be shared and opinions garnered.
Our monthly events have been well attended and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with members not only getting access to their peers whenever they want, but somewhere where they can learn from the outside world too!
Events are a key part of what our members get access to, in addition to virtual discussions and information sharing via Slack, and in my opinion are one of the best things about it. The last event we had was an amazing example of how a closed door event can open up ideas for everyone in the room. An excellent keynote by CDO Hub member, Johanna Hutchinson, sparked a lot of discussion that ramped up into a great debate with insight from everyone there, The CDO Hub is giving members practical knowledge, which is in turn is helping them shape what the role of the Chief Data Officer actually is.
As a business/industry professional your organisation gets a CDO if you don’t have one, and/or access to coaching by a CDO if you want to develop this area; or get a CDO buddy – ideal for some light touch guidance and advice.
The CDO Hub from Cynozure has generated some serious chatter in the wider world and it’s really stimulating conversation – not just on Slack, but also on LinkedIn. We were really happy to see some great coverage by well respected publications:
